By the simple trick of folding the paper in half, it's quite possible for our artists to cut two copies of the same silhouette! Traditionally this has enabled silhouettists to keep a "negative" in much the same way as a photographer, but it does open other possibilities.
At this particular party I stuck all the "duplicates" to a single sheet, which gradually built up over the evening and provided a wonderful talking point. With an on-the-spot frame it also provided the host & hostess with a unique souvenir of the evening. The result is quite interesting. Take a closer look! This kind of "group portrait" works well at family events such as weddings & anniversaries. There is an extra charge to cover the cost of the frame, and of an artist's assistant to mount the duplicates. It's well worth while!
Another possibility is to keep duplicates of just the most important people. The picture below shows duplicates of the "Top Table" at a wedding, all arranged around the bride & groom. Bringing a silhouette artist to a wedding opens up all sorts of possibilities, and they'll be a LOT less bossy than the photographer!
