The River Thames at its most beautiful. This old abandoned crane stood at the site of the present day "Cascades" building. It must have been there for years, waiting to ambush me and make me draw it. I literally walked around the corner at the bottom of some brand new shiny building and stood rooted to the spot by the sight.
This picture has everything for me. The rusty iron pillings holding up the bank, degenerate old industry, the London drizzle which eventually turned to rain and forced me to stop drawing, a little before I really wanted to.....
