Queen Victoria Dock


As far as I know this hasn't changed so very much (apart from the the Excel center). The wide empty spaces of the more modern docks further to east of the development area. Mostly deserted now, since the really modern ships can't now fit into a dock so small.

Everybody who comes here falls in love with this place. The water is so still and quiet, so inviting. Those old cranes resting at attention. The contrast between this old deserted place and the London traffic thundering through the East End behind is unbeleivable. (Shame about all the barbed wire tho')
