The Life Drawing Wing

Anybody who knows me will know my obsession with life drawing. For me it is the constant practice of drawing in some form which is the source of all art. Everything stems from being able to draw, and the human body is always the most challenging subject, since we all naturally relate to it through our own experience of living in one! Life drawing also allows me to experiment. Whether it's a new idea with scissors, paintbrush, or computer tablet, the life-room is always the first place I try them out.

The girl in the gallery is such an experiment, and she's looking at a collection of line and watercolour drawings which I made two or three years ago. Click on each one to see them as she sees them. The pictures on the wall are more recent, being a pair of very rapid ink paintings that I particularly liked. To see my most recent work in ther life room you should visit the Collage Factory (through one of those doors), or the computer Centre (you'll need to go through the garden!)

I've also created a set of 6 postcards from some of these life drawings.

If you'd like to commission a drawing of yourself (it's not as crazy as it sounds!) please e-mail me:
